Write Your Letter to Sunderland....

We are asking people to write a letter to Sunderland to help inspire a new performance, as part of our latest project Dear Sunderland.

Start your letter with the words, “Dear Sunderland”. 

After that, what you write is up to you!  

Here’s a few questions to help you get started. What is it that you want to say to the city? Or  to its people?  

Why you’re writing this letter? Is there something you can’t say to the city face-to-face? Are you far away and want to tell Sunderland what you are missing? Have you got news to tell them?  

There are no right or wrong answers. 

You can hand-write your letter and send us a photo. Or you can type it and email it across. 

Whatever you choose, once it’s written, send it to annie@unfoldingtheatre.co.uk  

As a thank you, you’ll receive an invitation to come and see the performance of Dear Sunderland on Saturday 28 March (time and venue to be announced very soon). You’ll also receive a letter from another anonymous Sunderland letter-writer to compare and contrast with what you wrote. It’ll be a bit like getting a letter from a pen-pal (except without swapping names and addresses!)
