Celebrating the North East at the Charity Awards

What a lovely evening we had at the North East Charity Awards.

We were absolutely delighted to win the Uniquely North East category – a huge honour and something we’re incredibly proud of.

For us, being ‘uniquely North East’ is about the places, people and communities that shape our work, and our belief that theatre can be rooted in everyday life and make a meaningful contribution to the places we call home.

We were shortlisted alongside some brilliant organisations doing extraordinary work across our region: 4Louis, Bensham Grove Community Centre and Recovery Connections. Huge congratulations to all of them - the work they do makes a real difference to people’s lives.

The evening was also a lovely opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet new people and celebrate the incredible breadth of work happening across the North East.

There is such a strong sense of community across the region, with charities and organisations supporting people, bringing communities together, creating opportunities and making positive change every day.

We feel very lucky to be part of that community.

A huge thank you to the North East Charity Awards for recognising our work, and to everyone who makes what we do possible - our artists, partners, participants, audiences, funders, supporters and collaborators.
