North East Culture Social Pop-Up Retreat
Join us for a special North East Culture Social. This FREE event invites community organisations and creative practitioners to come together to share learning, network and cook up ideas for future projects.
We'll ask: What are the ingredients of a good creative project in the community? (As well as top tips onwhat not to do!) What matters to your communities right now? How might this inspire or shape cultural projects we might want to develop together?
This is a practical session too — expect insights into funding priorities and partnership opportunities, with plenty of time to connect and cook up ideas for new creative community projects.
This event is targeted at organisations and practitioners based and working in Newcastle, but we recognise that many of you will serve a wider geographical area.
This event is free and includes lunch prepared by The Seven Bridges, a collaboration between DanceCity and West End Refugee Service. Tea and coffee also provided.
Six £75 bursaries are available for freelance artists and community practitioners. To apply, write a few lines on why you’d like to attend and how the event will support your work. If applications exceed availability, we’ll prioritise freelancers based in Newcastle and those from backgrounds currently under-represented in the cultural sector.
Come along, connect, and be part of shaping what comes next.
Delivered in partnership with Unfolding Theatre, Community Foundation North East and Newcastle City Council
