Work With Us

The following opportunities are available to work with or collaborate with Unfolding Theatre.

North East Deaf Youth Theatre: Creative Call Out

We are looking for deaf creatives to join us as at North East Deaf Youth Theatre!

We want to build our networks of deaf creatives to offer the group different creative activities and introduce them to more deaf role models. You might create visual arts, drama, music, filmmaking, animation, photography, creative writing or something else!

We are looking for deaf creatives who are based in the North East and have experience of - or are interested in - working with children and young people.

North East Deaf Youth is funded until Summer 2024 (and we are fundraising to keep it running beyond this date). You can express interest to be a guest facilitator at any time.

Workshop dates

9.30-11.30am on 3rd Saturday of the month plus a summer camp in July/August 2024 (dates tbc).

We are looking for deaf creatives to support a one-off session for our North East Deaf Youth Theatre. This would include planning and leading a creative activity as part of the workshop, and supporting EJ to deliver creative activities. We are offering the opportunity to join as a guest at 1 workshop to build our networks. We hope this will lead to us inviting guest creatives to return and deliver future activities.

Fee

£82.50 as a fee to co-facilitate a 2-hour workshop.

I had a blast working with the Unfolding Theatre team. It was such a supportive atmosphere. Thank you for taking a chance on me. The opportunity was something like nothing else I’d ever been given before. It was amazing to work under the careful eye and encouraging hand of Annie and Alex. I learned a lot from the experience.
