The story trail was co-created by families attending Action for Children’s Central Northumberland Children’s Centre groups and pupils at Bishop’s Primary School, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea.
127 children worked with us to help create the stories. Special thanks to all of them for their brilliant ideas and enthusiasm.
Children began the project by reading Not Now Bernard by David McKee, the classic story where Bernard finds a monster in his garden, but his mum and dad are far too busy to notice! Not Now Bernard celebrates 40 years in 2020.

Set – and created - in Sunderland, A Street Like This explores what unifies people in a city, where division exists, and what keeps people apart. What change could happen in a city like Sunderland that reminds us we’ve got more in common than divides us?
